For Teachers and Educators - Power of One Campaign

Power of One Campaign

Susan Funk is the Teacher Extraordinaire who developed this initiative

Teach your students what it is like to not have a voice. The Power of One initiative was developed by Susan Funk, teacher at KLO Middle School in Kelowna, BC.

Students raise pledges to take a vow of silence for one full school day (Susan even taught her classes without speaking!) and then celebrate with an afterschool event. Each student not only learns amazing lessons, they each receive a Nepalese scarf and lasting memories.

Interested? Get Started!

Let your students experience what it is like to not have a voice for a full day.

For busy teachers 90% of the work is done for you. All necessary forms, letters, and information are prepared in a "Power of One" package and CD.

Buy A Brick

For $100 you can buy a brick with your family name on it and have it installed on the walls of the school. You could also dedicate the brick to someone you care about. All proceeds from this will go directly to the Cause and you will be provided a tax receipt for your contribution.
