Target Group:

• Little Stars Primary School and Pashupat  Secondary School, as well as any other school where the authorities request it.

Rational

• Due to the extreme lack of even basic teacher training and the desperate need for quality education especially in rural schools basic teacher training is an urgent need.  Presently and/or in the near future this need cannot be accommodated by the Education Ministry.

 

Purpose:

• To develop low cost basic teaching materials which accompany the training topics

  §    To develop a simple training curriculum based on a needs assessment given to the teachers concerned

  §    To develop a training plan, which would provide teacher training throughout one school year

  §    To develop the training plan in such a manner as to train at least 2 of the school’s teaching staff to be able to continue training within their school

  §    To evaluate the training plan and its benefits at the end of the training period

  §    To make adjustments to the teacher training according to evaluation information gathered
