A Fantastic Evening for a Very Worthy Cause!

On June 12, 2008 IWEN hosted an evening of music, laughter and inspiration as a fundraiser at Manteo Resort in Kelowna!  The audience was entertained and enlightened by internationally famous (and very funny) public speaker Linda Edgecombe and fantastic musician Ellen Churchill.  To see the original flyer for the event  click here .

At this event we raised $9 680.00 to help educate girls and women in Nepal!

As guests filed in for the evening they were greeted by a long table covered with a dazzling array of fair-trade scarves and necklaces shipped from our Director-at-Large in Nepal.  All beautiful, and a steal at only $10!  Locally made (and very addictive) crisps were also on sale, beside tables of raffle tickets for some lovely donated prizes.

Thank-you so much to Ellen Churchill (below) and her trio who did a brilliant job of entertaining the crowd as everyone mingled and shopped.  Thanks to those who came out to show their support and to those who donated items for the raffle.
