MEMBERSHIP
 

 

  • Membership is $10.00 Canadian per year.
  • If members wish to donate more, there are separate forms available by visiting the "How can I Help?" page. Donations and memberships are separate; you do not have to be a member to donate. Charitable receipts are written for donations over $20.00
  • Anyone can become a member. Members have the...
  • Right to give their input into the Society, either on line or by email, by telephone or posted mail
  • Right to access any of the Society's records as these are public documents by contacting the secretary in writing.
  • Right to vote via post or e-mail for the Directors of the Board at the AGM.
  • Right to ear-mark their donation and/or membership monies to specific projects. This is termed “Donor Option”.
  • Right to progress reports on their “Donor Option” chosen project bi-annually.
  • FUTURE Plan: IWEN hopes to be able to offer members the options of on-line donations and the use of Master cards. Check the web site for this future option.

Last year, ordinary people used their power, belief, and love to change a $10.00 membership fee into $3,000.00, which sent 10 young girls, victims of political conflict, to a good school for the 2006-2007 school year. This “extra-ordinary” miracle can happen again and again.

Consider IWEN's $10.00 donation is the cost of one movie without popcorn in Canada . Yet this same $10.00 can pay for 2 months of tuition in a government run school. A $25.00 supper outing can pay for a child's school uniform, shoes and stationary for one year . A $50.00 piece of clothing can send a child to a private school for 4 months. .

Yes, pennies can buy wonders here. Yes, pennies can create miracles. Yes, pennies added to other pennies can literally change the lives of girls, youths and women.

Every donation no matter how small makes a huge difference in the life of one Nepalese female. IWEN hopes that your pennies will find their way to IWEN's treasurer. Every donor has a story.
